First, when treating with Anodyne, we may "wrap" the leg and foot in the pulsed lights; or use what is known as a "boot" to treat top and bottom of the foot at the same time. In this case, we are combining modalities by first using localized vibration, then adding Anodyne (MIRE) with heat to the bottom of the foot and leg and (pulsed light is purposely not wrapped around leg to show the lights). Then, Far Wave Infrared is added to the tops and sides of legs and feet. Later, the top of the foot and toes are treated in a similar manner with the Anodyne light. Please note: not every treatment is the same on every person. Sometimes we do no use the Far Wave or Vibration Infrared at all. And, in the above case, one cannot see it, but but both hands and feet are being treated with dry, Neuromuscular Stimulation as well!
Often, we are asked, "Exactly what is, Anodyne Therapy or Anodyne Light?" Simply put, it is light which can be absorbed into the tissues which can cause a biological effect. These "lights" can be ultraviolet, Red or Blue, Infrared or the more commonly known, X-Ray.
But, what we are looking for within our clinic, is the Anodyne Light - be it "Pulsed, Infrared or Far Wave Infrared," to be absorbed by the hemoglobin in the blood and and endothelial cell - with the end result being a release of Nitric Oxide to aid with circulation and bringing oxygen rich blood to the cells and nerves. As a side effect, it has also been proven to reduce pain!
Often, we treat with what is known in the trade as a "Bootie;" but more more often than not, as with using our Nerve ReBuilder tm, we may use individual Pulsed Light pads which allow us to "localize" the light to a specific area. "But wait," many people ask, "won't covering the entire foot and leg take care of everything at once?" In some cases, we suppose, but as the nerves heal from the inside out, we like to treat them in varying ways; and "target" problem areas for pain control. This is especially useful when helping to allow the client to sleep through the night. As with other modalities, Anodyne Light, Pulsed or not, is an accumlative thing; meaning, the more it is used, the longer the results afterwards.
Cleared for use by the FDA, we use Anodyne for a number of purposes - sore muscles, "knots" in the back (myofascial release), to aid with Trigger Points, and of course, to increase circulation and reduce pain! Often, we accompany this treatment with Oxygen and/or aromatherapy, nerve ReBuilding tm or other therapies; but it is especially useful when one has a pacemaker or defibrillator and is unable to have nerve/neuromuscular stimulation. It offers a viable solution for those who cannot seek traditional treatment.
What kind of conditions can cause pain and circulatory issues?
Black Mold, Diabetes, Hyperthyroidism, PAD and other vascular diseases, Intermittent Claudication, Peripheral Neuropathy, Alcoholism, Chemotherapy, Statins, Certain Antibiotics, Auto-Immune disorders, Infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS, Lyme Disease, Anemias, B Vitamin and other Deficiences, Raynauds Syndrome, Poisoning from heavy metals, Spinal Compression or Stenosis, Trauma/Injury, Nerve Entrapment, and even Hereditary Conditions such as Charcot Marie Tooth Syndrome. However, most neuropathy cases coming into our clinic are diagnosed: Idiopathic... meaning unknown!
It is our job to attempt to identify the reason for the neuropathy so we can treat it more effectively.
